Twin Flames

Entwined in each other’s arms, watching the waves playing with the wind, pretending our world is strong and nowhere near broken.

Entwined in each other’s arms, building a sand castle, pretending our home is solid and no cracks formed.

Entwined in each other’s arms, gazing at the stars, whistling a melody, pretending that our souls emerged as one.

Entwined in each other’s arms, with the water lapping our feet, swaying side to side, wishing we had more time.

Entwined in each other’s arms, feeling the wind playing with our hair strands, wishing for a shooting star.

Entwined in each other’s arms, with the droplets clinging to our skin, wishing for a miracle.

Entwined in each other’s arms, gazing at the horizon, praying that the glimpse of our future remains the same.

Entwined in each other’s arms, gazing at the boats, praying that we are meant to be together.

Entwined in each other’s arms, gazing at the moon, feverishly praying somehow fate will elude us and let us be.

Entwined in each other’s arms, lying in the sand, eyes closed holding the tears at bay.

Entwined in each other’s arms, counting heartbeats for one last time before we go our separate ways.

Entwined in each other’s arms, greedily memorizing each others features and gulping down our scents.

Entwined in each other’s arms, watching the waves playing with the wind, pretending our world is strong and nowhere near broken.
